Job Summary
The position of Facility Security Officer (FSO) will assist with preparation of security plans, reviewing applicable guidelines, and established procedures for all areas of security to include Personnel Security, Physical/Technical Security, COMSEC and Insider Threats.
This position’s internal job code is Industrial Security Specialist. Our team is currently hiring for levels 2 or 3.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform security pre-screening on all potential employees, subcontractors and consultants
- Represent Millennium Space Systems (MSS) to our DCSA Industrial Security Representative and Counterintelligence Special Agent
- Be the security focal to ensure compliance with NISPOM and customer requirements
- Support with processing visit authorizations, personnel access requests and coordinate with the proper USG organizations as required
- Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of the DD-254s and security guidance
- Provide classification guidelines to employees and lead security self-inspections audits, investigate security incidents, develop and provide security education and awareness training and conduct security briefings
- Assist with document control and program asset management and accountability
- Perform information systems audits and validate all security controls have been implemented
- Establish and maintain the Insider Threat Program and Insider Threat Working Group as the designated Insider Threat Senior Official.
- Maintain and control COMSEC account management in accordance with NSA/CSS 3-16 & CNSSI policy manuals and perform directed COMSEC related duties
- Manage and implement physical security safeguards in accordance with DoD and internal security policies while maintaining FCL documentation and submissions
- Must have the ability to travel to our HQ office in El Segundo, CA for one week for orientation & onboarding
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years as FSO or five (5) years relevant industrial security experience
- This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility (U.S. Citizenship Required. - Experience utilizing Defense Information Security System (DISS)
- Demonstrate knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Executive Orders
- Must have strong interpersonal skills/briefing skills; communicate with senior level leaders, internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations and independent decision making with minimal direct supervision while representing the security organization
- Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical to the success of this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have the ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions daily
- Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)/Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) and NSA policy
- Experience as a COMSEC manager
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (MSWord, Excel, Power Point)
- Security+ CE certification
- Experience utilizing other customer databases such as TALON/SCT, Scattered Castles, NCAISS and DIAS.
- Ability to travel to support other locations

Summary Pay-Range
Level 2:$33.51 - $49.28/hr
Level 3: $40.05 - $58.89/hr
